black light tattoo

Yes kids, I finally got the tattoo I’ve been talking about getting for the past few months. It’s of an Ouroboros, the serpent eating its tail. I had it done using UV ink, also known as black light ink. It’s the white color, so hopefully after it heals it won’t be seen in normal light, only in UV or black light. It was done by Nero at a tattoo shop in the Valley, on Ventura by Reseda. So far I love it, it still needs to heal though, because my parents don’t know about it, and I plan to keep it that way

Black light tattoo

These tattoos are popular mostly among the folks between 18-30 age groups, it is so because they go off to clubs and bars, and have a great time showing them off.

It’s a myth that these tattoo leads to skin reactions. If you go to a professional tattooist, who uses a good UV ink, there would be no problem from your new glowing tattoo. Before you get some strokes with UV ink make sure to check that ink is free from phosphorus.

Black light tattoo

http://black-light-tattoo.blogspot.com/Tattoo artists say that some people are enhancing their regular tattoos with the UV ink. Many artists around the country are hesitant to use UV ink because they fear the chemical could cause skin cancers and be carcinogenic. Chameleon, the ink distributor, maintains, "According to our manufacturer's records, this ink received USFDA [U.S. Food and Drug Administration] approval in 1995 for use in animals, plants and fish for the purpose of tracking migration, growth patterns and breeding." Humans, however, aren't mentioned in that FDA approval.next

UV inking typically takes longer because the tattoo must be checked frequently under a black light during its application process. Also, the inks tend to be thinner and harder to work with.next
